Tobago International Cycling Classic 2013
The Tobago International Cycling Classic (TICC) entered a new phase of its development in 2011 when it received accreditation by the Geneva-based world governing body for cycling (UCI). Since then, it has rapidly been making an indelible mark on the international cycling community and securing its place among the world’s leading sporting events. The TICC is now in an enviable position to radically accelerate Tobago &Trinidad’s Sports Tourism initiative.
Building on its capacity to deliver sustainable value by engaging millions of viewers and prospective travelers, a new and strategic alliance was formed with global television giant ESPN in 2011. A notable consequence of this partnership waste production and global broadcasting of a 1 hour ESPN Program in 2011 and 2012 which promoted the 6 day TICC Event and destination Tobago. The response was overwhelming. The ESPN Production of the TICC2013 will be aired via ESPN’s multiple affiliates and frequencies 4 times in November 2013 with several repeat airings in January 2014 & February 2014. The TICC & Tobago will take centre stage once again to an estimated audience of over one hundred million households in two hundred cities across 5 continents. Read more…
